As soon as I read that this subreddit was going on break, I just knew that something big was going to happen during the break, and I was right. R.I.P Jimmy Carter.

There is a difference between big and surprising. While we all knew that it was just a matter of time before it happened, I'd say that the oldest living president in history passing away is still a big, newsworthy thing.

Making it to 100, no less! An achievement worth celebrating, I think the first former president to ever live that long, no?
