This subreddit is so distinct due to it being one of the only subs open to conservative and left-wing members. It also requires both sides to be civil.

It’s been my favorite sub on Reddit for many years because of these reasons. There are an abundance of subs on this platform where conservatives are faced with constant insults and downvotes or banned outright.

Why do you want this sub to become just another of those?

What you’re describing is the biggest misconception about this subreddit. It’s not oriented towards moderate political views. It’s just a sub for moderate/civil discourse.

Beyond that, it’s one of the most politically balanced subreddits on the platform. Conservative viewpoints don’t even make up the majority here, it’s just not dominated by left-wing perspectives.
