Dolphins 2025 draft picks.

Pretty exciting that we have a great bunch of picks to use in the upcoming draft. Curious to hear where people think we should invest in? Obviously the O line is an important thing to get right this off-season.

Malik Washington starting to look like a late round (6th, #184) steal for the Dolphins

Malik Washington has blossomed into a decent W3 in the last three games, averaging 5 catches for 35 yards. You can see Tua and Huntley targeting him on third downs. In addition to receiving, he also runs the ball on gadget plays and handles kick/punt returns. Made OBJ and Berrios expendable. I also like his attitude; when he muffed the punt in GB, he didn’t make excuses and said he needed to get better. And he has!

Makes me wonder what Miami has in Tajh Washington too.

Modern Fins Uniforms w/ 1970s-2000s Darker Shade of Aqua

Like most people, I absolutely love our throwback uniforms. I think our late 80s-mid 90s jerseys (and obviously the logo) was our best look. They were just so iconic. I really want to like the new modern uniforms but something has just always felt off about them to me. They look amateur and unserious in a way I can't quite put my finger on. Then today I was watching old Fins highlights and I thought, "Damn that darker shade of aqua was nasty. We look so much more intimidating than we do nowadays in that cartoony bright shade of aqua." So I decided to see what the new unis would look like with the old school colors and I really think a change as slight as this could be the type of minor re-brand we need to bring our unis back to life. Am I nuts?

Danny Crossman’s Employment.

In week 18 last year, with the Bills’ game still within reach, we gave up a 95-yard punt return TD that was the difference in the game. I was certain that McDaniel would have the balls to fire Crossman, but I was wrong. This year, our special teams continue to underwhelm. So the question remains: how does this bum have a job ??

Unimaginable!

When we were 2-6, who would have thought that we would be 8-8 with a chance of making the playoffs going into the final game if the season?

6-2 over our last eight games - and we have a chance!

Fins up!

The fix is in - in our favor!

Think about the narrative! If the dolphins win this week and the Broncos lose - we play the bills round one. What a come back story! A playoff hopeful held back by injuries scraps their way back in. Only to face our division rival - the team that’s held us back from success for the last 7 years.

The league owes us anyway for holding out tua for 4 weeks on the IR.

In the real world - that scenario is actual momentum - just saying.

Anyway I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up and they’ll just end up being the dolphins this week - but I mean I guess this is part of why I like them.

Phins up for sunday!

I’d like to give Grier a little credit

I’ve been extremely hard on Grier this year. He may be a stubborn about admitting when he’s wrong, and he doesn’t always value certain positions enough (like the trenches, or backup qb.)

I do have to admit that he does have a really good eye for talent, and he knows a good deal when he sees one. Look at the 4 players above. All of which were 2024 free agent signings. The total of their combined contracts had less than a 10 mil cap hit this year. 10 mil for 4 top 10 players is crazy.

No one is ever 100% on free agency signings or draft picks. Everyone makes poor decisions, some of his you have to blink twice at. Although in many ways you can put a lot of blame for this rough season on him, he’s the one who drafted, traded, and signed the players who put us in relevancy. After his tenure with this organization, and his record during that period, I’m not against him being fired. On the other hand, I can’t say I’d be angry if he was given another chance.

I guess everyone expects KC to rest its starters and I can't blame them but maybe Denver just folds. We've seen that, right?!?!

What is Chris Grier’s best move of the year?

If Miami does indeed move on from Grier, it’s going to be a complicated breakup. While his insistence on relying on injured players may be his biggest downfall, he has built a strong roster (at times). And while there have been misses, what would you say is Grier’s biggest win this year?

Chop has really proven to have a bright future. Jonnu Smith just had the best TE season in team history. Calais/Ogbah were the most successful backup plan in recent memory. Brooks is playing like a pro bowl linebacker (PFF’s #8 run defense & #12 pass rush). Anthony Weaver looks like the answer at DC. And Wilkins has been an injury bust.

Edit: Forgot to include Aaron Brewer!
