Nice brunch/lunch spot for Saturday? 🥄food /restaurants /gastronomy

I’m coming to London tomorrow with my wife and two adult children, to visit my mother and take her out for lunch.

I’m hoping someone can recommend a nice spot we can go.

Looking for…

  • nice and comfortable (not a diner)
  • traditional lunch or brunch menu
  • doesn’t need to be cheap but also not +$100 /person

My mother lives in the north east part of the city, so not having to drive too far south or west would be great, but would for the right place.

Thanks!

Update: Thanks a lot for everyone’s recommendations. A couple I’ve been to, but many I’ve never tried and will in the future.

Was going to do Ironwood, but they’re not open for lunch/brunch on Saturdays, so we’ll try Malibu tomorrow and save Ironwood for another time.

Regardless, I’m saving this thread for the future! I appreciate everyone’s input.

James Place is nice, but if you're on the other end of town up Wellington way, toward Exeter, you could go for Vic's, or South Side. IIRC the family that owns South Side is related to the James Place folks.

OP said their mother lives in the north east part of town which is why I recommended it
