My phone turned off and wont turn back on

Ok, so in all honesty, i was watching something i shouldnt. I went fullscreen, but then my phone just turned off, my airpods disconnected, and now it wont turn back on. I have tried doing the sound button and power button restart thing, and I have also tried just holding the power button, but nothing works. When i plug it into my charging cable, it doesnt show the apple logo. If i have to explain this situation to my parents, I will die.

Edit- It is an Iphone XS Max, with ios 18. I need help to find out how to turn my phone on. (had to make this because of the automoderator)

Have you ever had the battery changed?

Has the time between needing to recharge gotten shorter and shorter?

Do you happen to know the battery health?

How long have you left it plugged into the charger?

It’s a 6 1/2 year old iPhone, so it’s very possible the battery has finally failed. Did you keep your data backed up to iCloud or a computer?
