Anyone switched from Samsung to iPhone? Discussion

Loke the title says, has anyone here owned a Samsung Galaxy before and then switched to iPhone? I'm thinking about doing that, currently have the Galaxy S24 and thinking of getting the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I want to see if anyone has made a similar change before and what it was like adapting to a phone and system you've not used before.

On Galaxy? Correct, very convenient. iPhones it’s literally only what you directly see on your screen (one page) without scrolling down to take another separate screenshot.

No, I mean just take the screenshot, then click it and choose full page at the top. On iPhone

Hmm. I guess I don’t follow. Is this new? So it works like Android? You can somehow combine screenshots into a much larger one (have page upon page on what’s on your screen if you scroll down on a webpage for example, and make a large screenshot of all the info, vs many screenshots after scrolling? Hard to explain but makes sense in my mind. I didn’t see an option to click “full page” at the top of said screenshot. Wonder if that’s an Apple Intelligence addition? I’m in the 14 Pro so no AI for me.

When you’ve taken the screenshot, click it so it opens the editor and then at the top, there’s a row to switch between screen and full page. Isn’t AI dependant or anything, its been there for many years actually and worked on my XR even

Interesting. My iPhone does not have this far as I can tell.. I click the editor, top of the phone screen has the undo/redo, Adjust, Red Eye adjust, Markup tool, and eclipses which has copy edits, paste edits, save as duplicate, appearance (System, Dark, Light) and again, undo and redo. There’s nothing else at the top of my screenshot when I open the editor button.

Ahhh I just realized, it won’t do that option unless you’re on something that actually has more than what’s on the main screen, like a news article for example. It worked and shows the same after testing it.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your help! I’ve never felt less tech savvy than I do now LOL

Also just discovered that the full page option ONLY comes up if you take a screenshot on Safari! It will not show up as an option on a Google article! Wow, yet another limitation set up by Apple 🙄

Hmm learn something new everyday. Maybe it only works in browsers?

The thing I find annoying is a lot of the time I want to long screenshot an app (slack, etc etc) and it does not work in those

Right! No reason for that limitation. If Android can do it with anything on the screen, then Apple should easily be able to add that function to iPhones!
