I suspect they don’t sell all that well and the line is on borrowed time. I love mine, truly hand hold-able but almost never see them out in the wild.

they don't want it to be too successful

This is the same ridiculous line of thinking that iPhone Mini supporters have, and it just as false now as it was then.

It turns out that many consumers just don't find as much utility in having devices with smaller screens

That’s completely false though lol the majority of casual users gravitate towards the larger models, with a very vocal minority claiming otherwise. But the proof is in the numbers and Apple knows this.

Yeah I love my iPad mini and I loved my iPhone mini but these are almost niche products for fewer and fewer people. I have multiple tablets most people only have 1 so they of course would gravitate to the bigger screen, same for phones.
