I bought it because of the 12.9 screen, since that’s the closest size to a piece of paper. When I finally need to replace my Pro, I’ll just get a used 13” Air.
I bought it because of the speakers. If I could get a basic iPad with Pro sound, I would have. My first iPad was the original Pro and my current one that replaced it is the 11 inch M2. It has ProMotion, but isn’t OLED. I got the 12.9, but returned it after finding it too cumbersome.
The screen is nice enough. I’m still holding on to my 12 Pro Max and haven’t decided to upgrade to the 16 yet. A lot of people say the 120 hz screen and USB-C is worth it, but I still don’t think they justify $1500. We’ll see what comes of the AI features, but I’m currently thinking I should probably wait for the 17’s redesign.
For the M1 chip too. Makes more sense longevity wise because it’ll run smoother many years after buying.
And in hindsight, seeing that Multitasking only works on M1 processor having iPads (when I bought it, the Pro was the only one with M1) I’m glad I chose the Pro even more
there was an age before AI when graphic designers used these things called apple pencils? maybe youve heard of them. but i hear that theyre really nice and might be a driving force behind the ipad pro lineup. could just be a rumor tho

most of the ipad pro users bought the pro because they just wanted the 120hz display
