Both were idiots…. What kinda moron leaves their windows open in a wildlife park?!?!
43
u/Odd-Tune5049 May 27 '24
And their kids hanging out the window... ffs Darwin award, right there

They provide various type of food to give to the animals. This comes with warnings depending on the season or/and type of animals

Omg I really feel sorry for the kid. The poor guy has dumbasses for parents. Hope he's OK. There are signs all over the park that say do not get close to Buffalo and people still do it everyday.
I'll admit when I was a teen I took a Pic fairly close to one, I was alot dumber back then.
28
u/DerpysLegion May 27 '24
Yea, but you can't blame kids for being stupid. Because kids are fucking stupid. I was a dumb kid. You were a dumb kid. Albert Einsten was a dumb kid. 100% falls on the parents

Unfortunately, that child has to grow up with those parents.

How would this be any different than the kid tipping over a TV perched on a wobbly TV tray? This was a learning experience. No one died, and that kid will never trust a wild animal again.

2
u/Embarrassed_Alarm450 May 27 '24
So your only qualifier for "holy shit that's a bad parent" is if the kid dies or not? You realize that kid is likely seriously injured with teeth knocked out or a ripped off nose or at least a huge gash across his face right? You don't let your kid stick his head out the window near tigers, unless you actually believe a supposedly competent parent would do that too, but a 2000 pound wild animal with spears attached to its head is fine?
Would you be willing to call them bad parents if they let their kid pet a wild bear or is it only dependent on if the kid dies or not? Also, I don't know if you know this, but a freaking TV isn't going to attack you unprovoked.

This is the response I’d expect from someone who literally posts their wiener online (don’t check his profile). Seek help.
0
u/Wakkit1988 May 27 '24
Really? That's the best you've got? Your response has absolutely no point beyond attempting to insult me. Luckily for you, I don't give a shit.
Grow the fuck up.
0
u/AssMigraine May 28 '24
Your point is dumb. Posting wiener pics online is dumb. Best of luck in the future!

I've been to Yellowstone a couple of times and seen people do the most unbelievably stupid shit with Bison. These are prehistoric animals. They have been fucking up dumbass creatures up that mess with them for tens of thousands of years. We are like annoying insects to them, and they can go from zero to kill in seconds.
9
u/nmathew May 27 '24
Saw people approaching them with kids. Someone nearby started citing/yelling bison death statistics at them.
I'm cautious around cows when hiking. Can't imagine approaching a fucking bison up close.
13
u/MollejaTacos May 27 '24
Ahh yes the prehistoric buffalosaurus Rex
6
u/justhereforbiscuits May 27 '24
Funny comment, but Bison and Buffalo are not the same thing, FYI.

Holy dog shit. I wish people would get this right. Buffalo live on a totally different continent

Did he live?

u/DoshawnMandic May 27 '24
This source says he was fine - https://www.whiskeyriff.com/2023/10/02/bison-headbutts-poor-kid-hanging-out-the-window-at-a-new-york-drive-through-zoo/

That's genuinly surprising. I think I'd rather get punched in the face by Mike Tyson on his prime then take a bison horn to the temple. Glad the kid is okay.
13
u/NoChanceDan May 27 '24
“Poor kid” - newp. That kid, and their parents, are fucking stupid.

That's entirely fictional. Cows are red colorblind, don't have red receptors on their retinas. they see two variations of colors: blue and yellow. To them red would look like a yellowish gray.
The average person does not know this. It's generally the menacing waving and overall aggressive tone that sets the animal off on account of the fact, they can't see red.
1
u/jeicam_the_pirate May 27 '24
thank you TIL
1
u/Embarrassed_Alarm450 May 27 '24
Yes, the whole "bulls get angry when they see red" thing is a complete myth, the red is to just hide any potential blood stains because that tends to happen with such brutal inhumane "sports" and practices...
1
u/Odd-Tune5049 May 27 '24
No dipshit... bison have nothing in common with male cows

Not the source tho. Source (the park) was biased and said the kid "didn’t seem injured", which is not the same thing but clickbait journos don't care.

Have parents totally lost their minds? Ah yes, these are the first ones born with phones in their hands now having kids. Doooomed.

I worked for a guy on his farm and he had a herd of bison. I'd pet them and stuff but you definitely gotta be careful with them. Regular cattle can get aggressive at times, like cows around their calves, or bulls because they live their whole lives with their leg constantly smacking their balls, but you can usually tell when they're about to be assholes.
Bison, not so much. They're still wild animals that will do wild animal things sometimes. It's like all those people who own large cats or chimpanzees and are shocked when their pets rip off their face and genitals.

Who wants to go to zoos like this, get your car all fucked up and spook the animals with your vehicle...
1
u/clgoodson May 27 '24
There’s one near me. Lots of morons love it. The federal government tried to crack down on them under new rules and rhetoric rubes around here got incredibly angry about not being able to feed the giraffes and ostriches from their cars.

Years ago I went to Yellowstone in a 1979 MG Midget. and had a whole munch of these bison walk right past me, inches from the car that dwarfed beside them.
More people get injured by bison than anything else in the park, simply because people are dumb and think these are cows.

Can you imagine having to try and kill one of those with a bow and or a spear?

u/Late_Magazine2573 May 27 '24
It's not the boy's fault. His parents need to be punched for what happened to him. My fellow humans, once again, fuck you.

You people ever seen stray cats? Do you realize how scared they become if you keep making eye contact with them?
Yeah these large ones don't like when you keep staring them too, it is threatening do not just stare at wild animals especially the ones large enough to dislocate your soul from your body through your asshole with one headbutt.

u/BolOfSpaghettios May 27 '24
A few years ago we were out in SD with our motorcycles. We saw a herd crossing the road, so I decided that we should at least stay about 10th of a mile from the place that they were crossing, there were probably close to 100 of them crossing. This idiot lady keeps driving her car to be as close as possible to the crossing point, and then gets out of her car to start taking pictures. Thankfully the herd had better things to do than pay attention to her. Those things are tanks.

I never liked the idea of a drive-your-own-vehicle safari.
Not only are stupid people gonna violate the animals, but you can't control what the animal does. They will fuck up your car because they know you are their food source.

Hard lesson, horrible parenting. They definitely belong in this sub.

u/kittybangbang69 May 27 '24
The younger a child is, the more flexible their bones are. The term "bouncing baby boy" comes to mind. Hopefully they are not hurt bad.
1
u/JeffSHauser May 27 '24
Yep the idiot filming dropped their camera while saying "Oh shit I have all my windows down too." These fucking people going into parks thinking these animals are like their little tea cup poodles at home. Let the buffalo add chlorine to the gene pool.for the rest of the thinking humans out here.

Buffalo / bison are extremely dangerous animals and everyone involved in this is an idiot.
