Should Herro become an All Star? Discussion

I would say Tyler has earned it. Even though I am not a Heat fan respectfully, I can appreciate talent when I see it and Herro this season has been healthy. He has been ballin. He is putting up All Star numbers right now in Miami. More than earned it in my book.

As much as I think he’s playing at an all star level, the also has to beat other guards for the spot: Mitchell, Brunson, Lillard, Maxey, Lamello, Jaylen Brown.

Both Maxey and Lamelo have been quite injured compared to Herro and both the Sixers and hornets have really bad records.

And he should be ahead of every single one of them aside from Dame, Melo and maybe Jaylen. Record would favor Donovan and Jaylen, but he’s arguable been top 3 of that list and for sure top 4.

I’d take Herro this year for the nod. Jalen may have higher highs still, but he’s been more inconsistent this year. Basically average same stats all around, Nalen better passer, Herro better rebounder, bout same points. But Herro is doing it with way less help and night in and night out. Herros lowest game is 14 points, Jalen already has 5 such games. Jalen just has a few higher games that balance it out in the long run.

I wouldn’t throw a fit about Jalen getting it over Herro, but I think Herro has been the better player thus far.

This is one of the most delusional takes I've ever read lol. Brunson will be 1st or 2nd team All-NBA, Herro isn't close to that..

And by your logic, Cade has better numbers with less help.. or does that only apply for Herro?

No Brunson wont with the way he’s playing at the moment and others are, especially with it being positionless… and I did forget about Cade. He’s very deserving of a spot. I’d take him over Herro too.

24/3/7 on 48/42/81 splits for a top-5 team... he is absolutely making All-NBA unless he gets hurt. I don't think you've watched many Knicks games

Sounds like Herro is all nba then, let alone all star.

LOL less points, less assists, worse efficiency, worse team... sure man. Real close

Same pts, less assists, more rebounds, worse team, exactly, doing more with less. If only Herro had someone like Kat, Mikal, Hart on the team.

add Trae, Garland and Cade to that list. The east guard class is pretty deep this year.

Jaylen is a forward and made an All NBA as a forward. Him making it as a guard would be a sham

He's on the Allstar ballot as frontcourt so that's all there is to it
