Basically you get your own lagann and can make your own gun-man to combine with it. What’s the name of it and what’s the theme/design

Mine would be dragomander, it being based off of dragons, with the jet on the back being shaped like wings.

Before I watched gurren lagann I was hopeless. I was depressed and lonely despite the fact that I had so many people around me. I had no aspirations for my future and I truly felt that my purpose in life was already determined from exactly when I was born. This concept that riddled my brain was consistently in the back of my head numbing whatever other thoughts could possibly entice my brain to do something more with my life. I decided to get into anime with my first being Naruto and to be honest I wasn’t completely impressed, I thought the story was boring and dragged on many times. After that I considered dropping anime entirely because it took me around 5 months to finish Naruto. But I decided to give it another chance and I chose the best anime oat, Gurren Lagann. Within the first episode I was hooked, it grabbed me by my balls and twisted it so hard I couldn’t help but bite my tongue in excitement from each marveling episode. Kamina my glorious king truly made me turn my life around, he was the idol I had been searching for the person who would define my purpose. I realized that I had waited far to long for someone to give me a purpose, I already had it. My life was far too good for me to be wasting it when I had bunches of people around me who believed in me more than I believed in myself. “Now don’t believe in yourself, believe in the me that believes in you.” These words could bring a dead man back to life and make heavens angels hymn in harmonious symphony. This is what turned me around, what made me finally understand that everything was infront of me I just had to tighten my sack to get it. KAMINAAAAAAAAAAA

A showdown, today! Enkidu is looking very cool, if you ask me! Thymilph is also letting them face off as enemies, without getting involved at this time. Which shows that he has honor and at least some patience to let Viral handle things. Viral is even waiting for them to be ready! Kamina is definitely getting pushed into a temper, and this time, I don't blame him, since he's not going to back down because someone told him to. That last set was very heartfelt! Let's go, Team Gurren! More tomorrow. :)

The boys are gritting their teeth today! Yoko sees what they are both made of in this moment and you can see her views and values slightly change after this. She gains a respect for them, which is very important! Though I can see it from her perspective of worrying about the people she cares about. Such a powerful scene! I love the artwork that goes along with this moment. The heart of Team Gurren is burning brightly! Love it.

Hi everyone,I saw the series ages ago and recently I wanted to rewatch it,until,i learned that the 2 movies have extra scenes and better animations so i wathed the first one right away, but... did they just skipped the whole genome fight? I still didnt wathed the seconth movie but I've taken a look at it and looks like it.

I wanted to watch the modifications that the films have of the history but i have ended the series not a long time ago, i should watch the first film? Or can I just go to the second? to see the alternative ending.

A moment of true Gurren spirit! We don't give up in this house! Such an intense moment! I always love this about the series. :) And how Kamina instills the will to never back down into Simon and the others. In this way, he is always present throughout the entire story. This is a very important moment. Especially considering the size and scale of the Fight!

Excellent panel of Thymilph! Again, I'm keeping his original name above in the interest of accuracy. This is a great moment in introducing our villains! It's like a gateway to the bigger story here. Danger is incoming for tomorrow, that's for sure! Kotaro makes Gurren Lagann look so small! I mean, that's accurate. It just really hits home in the Manga!

(Spoilers ahead, I'm not marking each one, because the post revolves around those spoilers, but if you don't want spoilers, you haven't seen it, so this is irrelevant. GO WATCH IT, then come back here so you can see why you need to rewatch it).

I've lost count of how many times I've watched Gurren Lagann now, but each time it hits me just as hard, or more so. I think it's actually more emotional on a rewatch.

For example, you know Kamina is going to die, so it's not a surprise, however, when you watch him and Simon combine, knowing it's the last time they ever will, that hits DIFFERENT!! Watching them combine for the last time, KNOWING it's the last time... God damn, that's... yeah... wow... go watch it!! (Bring tissues).

Little things like this happen right through the show.

Another exmaple is in the last episode, during the last battle when you see Nia glitch a little. On your first watch, you might not think too much of it, she's been through a lot right? It's expected. However, on a rewatch, you know it's because she's holding on, but can't keep it up forever. You realise that the look on Simons face when he sees her glitch is because he's just realised it too, and despite knowing that, he still has the strength to push forward. Then, immediately after the fight when the two of them are quietly sitting in Lagann together... that moment hits different too. It's probably the last peaceful moment they'll have together, what with celebrations and wedding planning going on back home, and knowing that Nia was struggling to hold on, they probably rushed the wedding.

If you've only watched this show once and loved it, I highly recommended a rewatch. I can't remember how many times I've watched it, but it's been a good amount (I just finished another rewatch 15 minutes ago), and despite all those rewatches, I still cry just as much (probably more now than my first watch), and it still feels just as epic.

Definitely the best rewatchability of any show I've seen (not just anime either).
