Best way to show they mean business is for Erza to lose and get captured. Her beating them or making them struggle is a bad way to hype up an antagonist group

and what about Erza? Is she so unimportant we need to nerf her AGAIN to hype an antagonist group that aren't even the main villains of the arc?

Let me ask you which is better:

  • Erza beats Faris's demon easily because "She's Erza!", making their hype, introduction a complete waste of time, or
  • Erza loses to the demons, and everyone panics. Cause this is Erza, and if she loses, these guys mean business.

Plus, her loss doesn't mean she's weak, she'll get her 2nd round to avenge her loss, we know this. But the demon's losing this fight would be the worst decision ever. Hell, they should squash her to raise the stakes.

It's already bad that Ignia's guild are already losing to the cast, can't have that as well with these guys.

Who said she needs to beat them easily? Erza has already shown she is intimidated by their power. It will probably be a struggle if she does end up winning. 

Erza losing to hype a villain group has already happened during Alvarez and Erza didn't get her rematch, leading to ppl to believe that Gray is stronger than her bc she lost the first fight so no, I absolutely do not want it to happen again. 

Why can't Natsu be used as a hype tool?
