Brandish is leaving already? 💔 It looks like there could still be more to this with Lucy’s narration hinting at something… but I did expect there to be some focus on the Mercphobia-Aquarius connection before the official L&A reunion. It just felt kinda unceremonious lol, especially with the beginning of the chapter being pretty disconnected to what was going on at the end (well, middle)

Mashima just doesn’t care to delve deeper into Celestial Spirit Magic lore ig… or bother with giving the Lucy/Brandish “rivalry” and plotline more oomph. Like I figured we might see Brandish have some inner conflict over her decision since this key stuff has been a thing since the start of 100yq, but she was actually just being a tsundere the entire time?

I fear Brandish has to leave, she’s way too strong to introduced as an ally to fairy tail

As shown with Lucy and Gajeel even if she doesn’t manipulate the mass of enemies just making allies bigger is such a big powerup facing dragon gods

Brandish was always written as a plot device, Similiar to that S-class Mage of FT who is Cana's father. Not a character but a plot device and nothing more!
