This is a tube amplifier. You can see the underside of the sockets for the tubes. The tubes are at the other side of plate where everything is mounted

I kinda guess those were socket for tubes but I wasn't certain

If you do an image search "jukebox tube amplifier" most pictures you get show images of the other side. The tubes are exposed at the other side while all the wiring is covered. This is not only a neat display for the tubes but also very convenient for maintenance purposes. You can replace any tube without having any electrical part exposed. You can check the functionality of any tube and the expected voltages at any pin of any socket with greatly reduced risk of getting shocked while the device is fully in operation. More than 90% of all potential issues can be diagnosed easily this way. If it's just a broken tube you don't even have to open the device any further and the issue is fixed quickly
