Google Chesapeake Bay log canoe. I shot this from the flybridge anchored off of St Michaels, MD in 2019 IIRC. This was during the log canoe races. I’ll try to post a short video tomorrow.
I’m familiar with log canoes, at least the ones they race aren’t this big. This looks more like the predecessor to the skipjacks or a bugeye or something, but I think bugeyes had 2 masts. At least the log canoes they race are smaller and have hiking boards. I could 100% be wrong, but I didn’t think the canoes were gaff rigged either. Either way, it’s beautiful craft!

Any back story on the vessel? I called the trumpy and knew the CLC, but this one I haven’t seen! You have great taste, keep the posts coming!
