Also love how Uryu gets mad Renji only uses brute force, then Renji gracefully deflects the next arrow with his foot. Renjis grown a lot since the start of the series and I love that the anime is really showing that

I'm sure he's banking a lot on Orihime's healing power and Ichigo defending his actions afterward as long as he's successful in betraying Yhwach. Anyway, Uryu seems like the type of guy to accept a punishment as severe as the death penalty if it meant stopping Yhwach.

Tbh uryuu plan was basically suicide. The moment he said to the group his plan everyone say that he was an idiot for planning something that would be just a suicide.

Honestly, I think the anime will make it MORE suicide-y, because he can commit to his acts like this if he believes he's gonna pay with his life for sure after this, and having to live and face consequences other than death would mean some great internal conflict for him.

That's the one conversation that I really like about the manga and I 100000x bet anime will make it so much more tragic since it's not that obvious to the "anime" only people that Uryuu will end up helping Ichigo. But that will be in Conur 4 .... such a long wait ....

not really he did not think this through at all and is just winging it at this point, it was a bit arrogant of him to beleive that he alone would be somehow more effective than literally everyone else combined >! we see that in the manga were he literally accomplishes nothing from his double crossing except for forcing haschwald to fight him and maybe getting that schrift but overall he sort of gets lucky that it works and that his father gave him the arrow!<

Well, the anime is clearly fleshing things out from the lackluster ending of the manga, so I assume Kubo will make Uryu's thought process clearer, if not also change significant actions altogether. It's now only a question if the execution will be better.

this also assumes that uryu needed to have a perfect plan, it is perfectly acceptable for him to have overestimated himself and got in over his head and needed his assistance, that is not a bad plot point so while having reasoning is good, he does not really need to have a perfect plan that makes more sense/ works in a completely different way in the anime as compared to manga, uryu has received quite a bit already and there are many more characters that need a buff/more screentime

Oh, I don't think a more fleshed out plan means it's a perfect one. I simply hope Uryu's point of view in the end will bring more revelations as to why he thought this path was his best bet at contributing to Yhwach's downfall. I also want some extra perspectives from others like his father.

Uryu also witnessed Hollow Ichigo's (Zangetsu) regeneration in his final battle with Ulquiorra. If Orihime's healing were to fail, Zangetsu could take care of it. Overall, Uryu knows that an attack like that won't kill Ichigo in any way.

him getting to Ichigo and Renji first means he will not really kill them, if the pattern continues and he gets to the rest of the gang before any other royal guard it means he is trying to keep them safe in a way
