Transitioning from Open Field Strawberry Production to High Tunnels: Advice Needed

Hi everyone, I’m considering transitioning from open-field strawberry production to growing under high tunnels greenhouses and I’m looking for advice from those who have experience with this shift.

What are the key benefits you’ve seen in using high tunnels for strawberries? Are there specific challenges I should prepare for (e.g., pest management, temperature control, cost)?

I’d also love to hear any tips on tunnel design, spacing, or irrigation setups that have worked well for you. I’m currently looking at Harnois TunnelPro Plus? Any feedback?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know what it is.

Okay, so I posted it on r/allergies but i since don't think it has anything to do with them. My nose tingles because of kiwis. When I'm near them, see them, i can sense them in my home. It's a weird sensation: almost snizzing but mostly ticklish.

It can't be because of allergies, because i get it when i see a picture of a kiwi. It happens since i was a child, I remember being 3 years old and my nose tickling because of that fruit.

Please, at this point i don't even care about the answer I just want to find someone who feels this too. 🥺🥺🥺

Relocating strawberry plants-cold months

I am in zone five, previously 4B. And we are planning to move within the next couple of months.. the ground is not frozen yet but I expect it will be soon. And I want to bring some of my strawberry plants with what would be the best way to do this? Can I keep the roots alive through winter or do I dig them and put them in pots? we will be moving into my husband’s parents house so if needed there will be a place to store them that I will have access to in the meantime

Need help identifying this berry found in Johnston Canyon, Banff National Park in mid November. It was found low to the ground. I’m thinking bunchberries / creeping dogwood but a local said bearberries. Anybody know?

Identify please, dog might’ve eaten some.

Found my dog by these this morning, wasn’t sure if she had eaten any or not. When I squeezed one, it had purple juice inside. A google image search suggested the possibility that they were wild grapes, which is of course very dangerous for dogs. Didn’t feel like a grape, but not sure if it’s just wild blueberry either. Berry experts, please help.
