You mean the richest city has less violence than poor areas of Texas?

There is a reason people are moving into Texas and away from San Fran. A decrease in population is devastating for a municipality. Their budget depends on a steady increase.

FWIW, it depends on the crime. Mass retail theft, car burglaries and feces on the street are only in one of these places.

Houston has the 4th highest rate of retail theft in the nation. Dallas has the 10th.

Texas has a rate of auto theft that is 20% higher than the national average.

Texas beachgoers are literally swimming in human feces
