Looking for a Eucalyptus Ficifolia “Fairy Floss” Grafted - struggling to find! - RECOMMENDATION

Post image

Hi! I’ve been looking around Sydney and the wider region for a couple weeks now for a Eucalyptus Ficifolia and can’t seem to find one. I’ve been calling quite a few of the native nurseries and they seem to be out of stock. This post is mainly aimed at those who might have seen one recently/people who work at nurseries. Thanks so much!

It's a shit if a thing to propagate even as a grafted plant. It was mainly done by Humphris nursery who have put it in the too hard basket - last i checked anyway, they have told me the same thing about some of the grafted standards they've had avail on the last couple of months.

Vaughn's Australian Plants at Pomonal do something similar - Pearl or Pink Pearl that can be easier to source.

Sydney Wildflower Nursery regularly attends Victoria's monthly trade market - they would be the best bet to get it to Sydney

I've seen one growing healthily on the street, but not sure if that is what you are asking & it doesn't need trimming...

I wanted one too. Ended up with a Pearl a few years ago. It's still at shoulder height, failure to thrive. I suspect it might not be grafted. Hopefully you have better luck
