I would tend to agree with you for what you get. I had no issues shelling out $1,000 for a Garmin Epix 2 when I considered what I was getting. If the Ultra can last more than 2 complete days on a charge, I will sell my Epix.

IIRC it was 36 hours normal use but they’re working on a special mode that they claim will be 60 hours.

If I can get 60 hours with “mostly smartwatch” mode I’d likely get it. 36 hours doesn’t do it for me compared to 15 days with my Garmin Epix

Seems like the 60-hour mode would cut mostly fancy functions of the smartwatch but keep the core function of the active watch. So seems like a good deals

I'd like to see a little flip-over solarcell that could charge it while wearing it...

Solar-powered smart watch would be a game changer for sure

No this isn't good deal at all. You're charging the watch 3 times a week 🤦‍♂️.

You have to coordinate charges in the day so you can get biometric monitoring data at night lmao.

You Apple ppl really are trapped in the matrix of poor product obsession.

That is one of my main reservations about getting a watch at all. I’m really interested in the sleep metrics, but at work I’m moving around all day and I’m not sure when I would charge the thing.

I charge my Garmin FR955 about 2 to 3 times a month. And I am a very active human who uses it almost 24/7.

I have had apple watches in my past which is why I am being cortical of this AWultra.

I don't really understand a lot of the comments, they seem trollish / botish and I see a lot of bright eyed consumers about to throw their money at a pretty subpar fitness watch.

If they only want a bit more rugged smartwatch, go for it. But this thing trying to enter the fitness watch market against Garmin...laughable.
