COVID-19 Research
Hi friends! I am currently working on a healthcare-related capstone project for my graduate education. My team is doing some research on people’s thoughts and understanding in regards to COVID-19. I'd really appreciate it if you could take less than 10 minutes to fill out this survey. Thank you! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJS9CdDXsgaHdaFFbsDgW-80Htt2GOjBmaBg4CQN_SehZegg/viewform?usp=sf_link

How deep does this discussion go?
There are levels to this. My interest is in the mindset of the boomer. Is it pathological? Methodical? Or Just simple ignorance?

Is Florida Baby Boomer Central? Yes and No

Stuck at the airport and a Boomer sat next to me listening to Hannity without headphones
Is this the most Boomer thing that's ever happened? Complete lack of self awareness and concern for anyone around him, and listening to actual garbage.

Lost my job due to the worst generation.
Lost my job as the entitled stubborn baby boomer who was suppose to retire lied to my managers to keep her job and get rid of me.
The baby boomers are a fucking cancer, a plauge. They turn bitching into an artform. They claim millenials are lazy and entitled but outright refuse to train those who are wanting to make an honest living.

Awesome
I saw a couple boomers on FB doing their typical boomer crap, pointing out the obvious & thought as I usually do, worst generation. Figured I'd see if Reddit agreed & here I am, love it.

The Story of Linda the Manipulating, Lying Retired Tech Worker.
EDIT: Lost my job due to this baby boomer bitch. Management called it "underperforming". HR confirmed that it was their fault and took her word over mine which he said he doesn't agree with. Worst generation to ever exist. Yet they have the nerve to call us lazy.
I made a few memes in regard to Linda the "Retired" tech worker and i have been requested to explain the story of the nightmare I am dealing with.
I started a new job last month to take over for a very rude and condesending old wonan as she is being forced to retire. My manager who is stationed out across the country did not set up a plan of action or organize any sort of transition with her, and she was notified the day prior to my employment I was starting the following day with my manager coming down as well. The first few days my manager, myself and the woman i was replacing we went through some basic items for the job. During this initial orientation she was acting nice and professional but after my manager left back to head office, that is when things changed.
She flipped from professional to old bitter and cold. Right when my manager left her attitude changed entirely. She startrd calling my manager an asshole for his way of training and didn't want to follow his process, claiming her way was right. The first week alone she refused to train me as i was making jokes with a couple of my fellow co workers. They asked me how much i knew of iPhone and my response was "I have been using and troubleshooting them since i was in grade school, helping my family and classmates with their troubles". She made an effort to take anything i do and throw me under the bus by taking this statement and telling others that "Since you told people you have been doing all this since you were a kid i assumed you don't need help and thus i choose not to train you, and told others what you have been saying". This of course is completely false as i have been vocal and passionate to learn new technology and how our company works.
Because of her false assumption she left me to drown on my own hoping for me to fail, but sadly for her I took the initiave and went to learn on my own and started the transistion process. I cleaned the storage closet of tech equipment as it was a complete mess and i figured since i got nothing on my plate and waiting for training, i would start to get things organized. When she finally decided to show up on site she asked me why i did such and I was suppose to wait. Again i kept my mouth shut despite i wanted to say that this was a result of her actions or lack of actually.
Yesterday was the kicker to this whole problem. Initially she asked me to come in later but i had an early conference call. I joined this call via Bluetooth in my car so i would not miss it. Once i walked into the office after my conference call she instantly brought up "Oh didn't you have a phone call this morning?". I told her i joined via bluetooth and now thinking on it this was a sabotosh attempt. I went on my business to do my tickets and she came in trying to convince me that I should move to head office to look into a different field. I told her i wish to expand my knowledge and this is my next field to learn.
Despite all this, she still tried to sway me off from my path until i made a comment on wanting to learn more. She again brought up the "You said this to this person two weeks ago that you learned this in grade school and you clearly don't want to learn". I told her i wasn't giving that impression to anyone and was wanting to learn. At that point she stood up and started getting mad at me telling me to admit i was wrong and that this was not going to work out. At that point i stood up and told her I was done dealing with her. I told her she was being very disrespectful and rude and condesending to me and while i was being very patient and understanding I was not going to be treated poorly anymore. I told her I will come back in an hour despite that I was done working under her and to think about how she was acting. I called my manager immediately after and told him how she acted, and even came forward that i walked away from her and apologized for doing so but I cannot work with her. My manager told me he understands my side of this and accepts that what I was saying to him was fair. I also called my HR manager and told him tne exact same story. He also stated that he trusts me and understands that this is her 100%.
Both my manager and HR said we will recap on Monday but I can't help but think that I have lost my job due to this stunt she pulled. Obviously this is clear sabotosh on her part to make me look bad or convine me to leave. She is playing every evil card in the deck just to save her job.
This is my current problem and why I have a huge hatred for the Baby Boomer generation. Entitlement and stuck up attitiude is one thing but trying to destroy someone's future and career is very low and you cannot sink any lower.
