Place to stay
I know someone in Waikiki going through a rough time and they need a place to stay after they got kicked out of their old place (they didn't have a lease). Is there a place somewhere they could stay short term?

Loud bass from cars?
I hate to be this guy, but my dinner has been interrupted twice by ridiculously loud bass from cars. Should I bother reporting this? Do the police give two fucks?
If the answer is yes and Iām not wasting everyoneās time, where do I call?

Have you encountered this lady?
Her name is Amy Davis, she says sheās famous which apparently gives her an excuse to be rude to people.
Sheās 50+, thin, big hair, and typically wears a white short romper. I have seen her 3 times in the span of a few days. She tries to interact with random strangers and displays narcissistic tendencies.
Today, I observed her being rude to workers at Matcha Cafe Maiko. Then, she proceeded to be mean to a customer who she cut off in line. When he called her out, she started telling him how sheās famous. I didnāt hear the whole conversation but she then ran out, calling for security, going into Konoās where a worker called someone to come help her. My husband was there when it all went down and stuck around to chat with the couple and be there in case things escalate. The security came and she began chasing the poor man and his GF.
She seems unhinged, rude, and trying to grab on to any attention anyone will give.

Week in Waikiki
Aloha,
Weāre going to be spending a week in Waikiki. We have a 2-year old and will be staying at a hotel without a rental car. We plan to walk to most places and spend some time at the beach. We like to do hikes, currently planning to hike diamondhead while we are there, otherwise looking for any other recommendations on fun activities to do that include a 2-year old!

job opportunitiesā¦
I just wanted to share some knowledge on a popular location that is currently hiring in Waikiki. Kona Coffee Purveyors is hiring but i would advise against working here. One of the co-owners has completely lost his mind and is ruining the business. This is not a good place to work and i would be happy to share some more insight if anyone is concerned or curious. Just please beware, stay safe, and look somewhere else.

Best place for a walk-in tattoo?
Hi! I'm visiting and would love to get a tattoo. Would love to hear some recommendations on where to go for a walk-in flash style tattoo. I'm thinking I want plumerias (cliche, I know).
Thanks!

At Queens Beach in Waikiki, an eroding sidewalk that has been a growing hazard for pedestrians is finally set to be repaired after months of delay. What was once a popular pathway is a symbol of Oahuās ongoing battle with coastal erosion and rising sea levels.

Longboard Storage?
I stayed at the Twin Fin recently and I brought my longboard with me. I asked at check in if they had board storage and they looked at me like I was crazy. The valet guys made an exception for me and let me put it in luggage storage even though they aren't supposed to store anything over night. There was no way I was bringing my 9' up to my room. I made a recommendation when I checked out that if they are going to market themselves as a surf hotel, they really should have board racks, and they did not care one bit.
Anyway, my point / question is, what do people do with their longboards while staying at Waikiki? Is there a club or a locker type place where you can leave it securely? A better hotel that has racks?
