Staying in Waianae
Hello everyone! I have never visited Hawaii before. I will be staying in Waianae in November. I want to make sure that I'm a conscientious visitor by supporting local Waianae restaurants and shops. I'm also interested in volunteering and giving back while I'm there. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Aloha Poke is my favorite spot to eat in Waianae. Pokai Bay Restaurant is good too - try the hurricane chicken! Waianae is super local so be respectful, not that you wouldn't be but I think it's prudent to be mindful whose homelands you're on especially there! The west side is truly the best side!
