Chapter vs. Flock 13

Hi! How is it living in either of these buildings? My roommate and I are between the two for a bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Flock 13 weirdly does not offer tours which is a little off putting.

I called flock 13, and they let me schedule a 1 on 1 tour. I also toured both, chapter seemed like the much better option, but its a good bit more expensive

The Chapter! My student loves it there!
The staff is very nice and helpful, they take security very seriously, maintenance has been fantastic. Paying rent is easy, mail and deliveries are secure, parking is available at a garage nearby…can’t say enough good things about it.

One word of advice: make sure you ask for an upper floor unit. 9th or higher, otherwise your view could be of building next door or a wall.

Chapter13 staff is nice but it’s run by the same corporation as K14. As a guarantor, I found them adequate in responding to issues but far from delightful.

They probably don’t have an empty unit to show you, so I wouldn’t ding them for that, but no tour for amenities doesn't seem good. (FYi: we saw studio units last fall and they were equally as nice As the Chapter’s units.)

Both have small bedrooms but Chapter is better for the price. Are you looking for a new build specifically?

If not, there are other options close to campus with larger rooms.
