I am a Summit Scholarship recipient only taking 12 credits this term, and I am in danger of failing one of my classes. How would that affect my scholarship eligibility?

Would I lose my scholarship if I fail? From what I understand, the requirements for the Summit Scholarship is that you have to take and pass 12 credits each term.

I haven't had a chance to reach out to the financial aid and scholarship office, and I was just wondering if anyone had a similar situation as I do? Was the financial aid and scholarship office lenient with you? I haven't been able to find anything online

I’d call the office and talk to them about the situation. If it’s a scholarship it might come with terms and conditions. They typically give you a chance to prove yourself and you have to hit a certain GPA to continue getting it. Also my kiddo was having issues and now she meets with a counselor every few weeks to ensure she’s on track.

How exactly? Did they reach out to you to give you another term to complete credits?

I had a similar thing happen, except I withdrew from all 12 credits. They gave me a term to complete 12 credits and I earned my eligibility back. They’re pretty lenient.
