(12-9-24) Dover AFB sightings, erratic movement Video

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This post was deleted because I did not include a location + time. Part of me knows better than to dox myself like that but whatever, video was taken at 6:27pm, south west of the airbase. Additionally, since my original post, a police helicopter was in the same area as where I initially recorded this video. It quickly disappeared from flight tracking despite still being airborne. Anyways,

These things are visible literally all night, some of the ways they move are actually so unbelievable you almost want to just let them do their thing. Some will stay stationary/slightly move for a minute or so, then begin to move in one direction before immediately turning the other direction.

Camera quality is horrible like I said, but literally you can see these things all night.

The following submission statement was provided by /u/BigSmokeWilliams:

To offer some additional perspective, I’m pretty familiar with the operations of this airbase and what flight patterns can be expected. Both me and a relative gained a lot of interest in piloting due to being so close to a base (one of us being much more successful if you get what I mean). This is not typical behavior.

Also, “hobbyist” drones are almost nonexistent in this area, I don’t think I know a single person with one. I’d love to set up a livestream but I’m not exactly comfortable doing so due to what has happened with others who have done so. I’m not looking to deal with arbitrary restrictions, I’m just looking to share what anyone from this area would know to be atypical activity.

I have many more videos depicting similar activity, but due to the rules of this subreddit, and maybe apathy on my part, I’m not able to share them all currently.

I'm about 20 miles from an Air Force base and I captured these the other night on a ring camera. I also saw them with my naked eye, they are not bugs, and I have a few pictures of them too. I'm in New Hampshire though. Nothing from Flight Radar, could be air crafts that aren't on the radar but I find their behavior is abnormal and dissimilar to the planes I've seen take off from there that I am able to track. They were there at 3am this morning as well but with less activity. I just wanted to share because of the similarity, don't know what they are.

Photos, I uploaded them as screenshots so you can see that the movement took place within a minute and that it is at about the same time as the video:

Notice the strobes. The quick blinking is what gives them away.

I don’t know a lot about FAA lights so can you elaborate on this some more?

How fast are planes supposed to blink compared to this? Are there any circumstances or alternative objects of ours that could be in the air with different lighting rhythms?

Good post. Shows just how many we’re seeing. I see the same out by Bass River. All night for the past few nights.

The NJ Governor said 49 sightings last night albeit some were known aircraft.

u/absolutelynotagoblin 19d ago

I’m sure that’s the number of reported sightings.

I can’t believe someone hasn’t flown their drone to one of these things and try to record it up close.

Agreed. At this point if it is a USG test they have only themselves to blame if a drone hobbyist goes after their undeclared equipment.

I have mine ready......

I’ve been wondering a lot about this and, if this is a US government or commercial product, perhaps it can operate as its own restricted area and send consumer drones “back to sender” if they get too close (close enough to jam).

But even then I think we'd hear about it, right? "Tried to take my drone up to check em out and it got sent back" would be a hell of a piece of data

I mean, do you see how high up they are in this footage? Lmao

Yeah not sure if its the video compression but i dont see any erratic movement here.

It’s much more of an in-person thing to observe, there’s seldom a time no less than 3-5 of these will be in view at the same time, as I’ve said I’ve got many more videos, I could compile them on an external site.

As I said in my previously deleted post, there’s a clear distinction between planes and whatever these are. Altitude, trajectory, and general predictability are all skewed. The only explanation I could come to is drones, there just aren’t any other forms of aircraft that operate the way these do.

These videos are taken from an entirely different angle than those I have previously taken/posted, they appear in all directions.

Watch around 0:55, the right most aircraft accelerates significantly.

Also the first few seconds/final few seconds.

And another one appears at 1:22 which I didn’t notice, in between the trees on the bottom left. Massively different altitudes.

If you make another video like this record your screen and show the flightradar24 app to show it's not regular air traffic.

Fire up the lasers, stroboscopes, flashlights..heck, throw in the neighbor's malfunctioning Christmas lights while we're at it. If they're out there high-fiving and forming a UFO cheer squad in my backyard, the least I can do is give them a light show worthy of their dramatic exit into the night skies.

The fact these things are flying around with bright blinking lights is seemingly at odds with the fact they appear skittish and don’t show up well on camera when filmed. I heard some official saying they “go dark” when observed. He didn’t elaborate on the point unfortunately, but why fly around with lights on if you don’t want anyone to see you?

1

u/Vast-Noise-3448 19d ago

So people can avoid you.

1

u/BigSmokeWilliams 19d ago

Truth right here, I didn’t make it clear but I don’t believe these are NHI or anything of that nature. Derivative? Maybe. But the inclusion of anti-collision lights shows these crafts are abiding by the expectations of standard air traffic.

Drone vigilantes. They're here to help us, but we can't know who they are or what they're doing.

Or maybe they just want us to think that and the attack start soon.

2

u/jacksonbarley 19d ago

Well… if they are vigilantes working in our interest then, and this is probably the only time anyone has ever said this, New Jersey is a safe place to be.

u/Rudolphaduplooy 19d ago

You can see the blinking red and green light. As far as maneuverability goes - they are drones! They can go which ever way they want at the push of a couple of buttons.

That's awesome, thanks for posting!

What shape do they look like? Do they change the way they look?

2

u/BigSmokeWilliams 19d ago

No observable shape
