If you’re gonna post here talking all this “I’m 22yrs old with little to no experience and I can’t find a job. How do I x, y or z?” at least tell us where you are or where you want to be. Wouldn’t hurt to throw in what experience you DO have no matter how little. I could suggest dozens and dozens of companies or options to someone living in the western 11, especially Cali, Az, Utah and Nevada but I don’t know shit about the east coast. A lot of guys here do. I think your chances of getting the information you’re looking for would increase greatly. I’m not taking the time to drag that info out of you myself and most people won’t. If you’re wanting genuine help from people who have good information and advice to offer then do your part and come prepared.

If you’re stuck on a RR crossing, call the number on the blue sign!

I possess the need to remind everyone of this after today’s incident in Pecos. I’ll reserve judgement until after the completion of the investigation, but if incompetence on the part of the driver, escorts or police are at play this will have been a needless incident, and an infuriating one for anyone who has or is working on the railroad, including yours truly.

“I didn’t know about the sign” is not an excuse. Drivers really ought to be criminally charged for causing these incidents…..

I didn’t pay to much attention to the time of my delivery (I was just told to bring it back to my yard) but either someone just needed to put down numbers for the delivery time or they expected me to have doctor strange on speed dial so I can have him open a portal for me 😂😂😂 (I’m 6.5 hrs away without traffic)

Had an SCR Fault on 12/31/24, got to the shop 1/2/25. Told it was a wire harness; part promised next day. Found out 1/3/25 it wasn’t ordered, but they can repair it or wait until Monday and be down 3+ days, no pay. Never come here! I'm an owner op.

Dear Snowplow drivers

You have a time schedule to keep and so do I.

You have a CDL typically and so do I.

People depend on you and people depend on me.

You care about your life and presumably the life of others on the road and so do I.

Then why the fuck are you plowing a two lane road at night in the oncoming traffic lane. I’m lucky the shoulder has room or I would have taken a tumble. Learn to drive.

Sincerely, one heated trucker.

Anyone go to CVS for their DOT physical

I just realized they do it. It's $119. Anyone have experience they can share? If I have to go to Concentra one more time, I will lose my shit.

From my last job. 2004 379 flat top... Only large car in the fleet and everyone wanted it. Let's just let the guy that doesn't appreciate or take care of it drive it though 🙄🙄 driver said if they ever took him out of it, consider that his resignation. If it was my company, I'd have just fired his ass. They just sucked his schlong and let him do whatever the hell... I moved along and got in a 2023 389... Fuck em

A bad coolant level sensor shut the engine off with a 30 second warning, on a two lane road with no shoulder. I coasted in neutral for about a mile and found a turn to the beach.

DOT Physical

Upvotes

Hey fellas, got my DOT physical coming up. Not my first one. But my first one while being prescribed adderal. I work for a utility company and HR is aware that I’m taking it, but do I have to tell the doctor that I’m taking adderal? Thank you for your time.

Cdl a class skills maneuver help

Hey guys I am getting my cdl a class and I just started driving, in two days I already got 8 out of my 20 hours of skills and I’m feeling really nervous. I feel good on the pre Trip inspection but I already have almost half my hours and I’m still a bit iffy on the straight back park which is I think the easiest maneuver (I probably get it 8/10 times) I’m feeling really stressed and was looking for advice, I haven’t done the parallel reverse yet and I’m not sure what else there is now I think there’s one other maneuver where u have to get ur trailer wheels in a specific spot and I’m just nervous I really don’t want to fail even once let alone 3 times and loose everything I’ve been working for
