My best friend's parents living room TV. The bottom of the bezel is roughly 6 ft from the floor.

Tv downstairs

Post image

This would be the only place we could put a tv downstairs.

We have a projector upstairs, but having a tv would be nice for the convenience.

I know that the TV would be too high, but is it worth it so we could have a tv downstairs?

For reference, the other rooms downstairs are the kitchen, dining room, master bedroom and home office. The tv wouldn’t be able to be in any of those rooms.

Maybe not the right sub for the advice I’m seeking..

Before the barrage of hatred, I will state this is in a bedroom so the height and tilt is appropriate. What help I need is with the rats nest of wires and bracket visible when you walk into the room from the left side of the TV. Suggestions to minimize or hide this blight?

So I mounted this 85 incher in our new home and according to my folks it needs to be higher. Apparently the bottom of the tv has be level with the window sills 🤔

What you guys think?

What do you think about the height of my TV? The level of my eyes is slightly below the middle of the screen.

If it was a 55" I'd put it higher

If it was a 55" I'd mount it higher. You guys are too strict. It's an 85" and the height is the middle ground between direct eye level sitting and direct eye level sitting with neck relaxed/head resting on couch back. That's my opinion of how high a TV should be in living room.
