Does this make astrology more believable?
I always thought the soul descended from heaven, travelled through space and whatever constellation that’s present at the time to your body. And the reason zodiacs share common core personality traits is because of this process. Last night I found out that the human body shares the same atomic/elemental make up as a star which would somewhat support an astrological connection to the make up of humans right?

That’s just imaginary and delusional thinking. You might as well start a religion.

How though there’s a clear connection between the two

u/gouzenexogea 1d ago
I think our definition of ‘clear’ is different than yours

Ok lol

u/gouzenexogea 1d ago
I would’ve agreed with you if you just said connection, brother none of this thread makes sense.
You managed to make astrology less believable.
We have to assert this ‘clear’ connection by first assuming we spawn in space and have to plinko our way down to our body. Every star we hit on the way down is part of our astral make-up? Yeah that’s not exactly a clear connection bud

You’re right, there’s a clear connection between delusional thinking and cults.
If you’re talking about souls and 100% man-made constructs like the zodiac, that’s completely in your head.

It doesn't make sense really, it's based on the alignment of the sun to these constellations. So it's not affecting distance, if anything, it makes it harder to access earth because the sun is in the way.
Or maybe idk enough about how it's suppose to work Lol
Maybe souls can only travel between mass/gravity, so the alignment enables them to travel to the sun, then the earth.
If anything, maybe there's a fingerprint, like magnetic alignment in rocks, that is embedded in the flesh at birth, and these dictate or predispose us to certain traits
I want to like the idea, but I just can't Lol. I do believe there is more to life than meets the eye, so who knows 🤷♂️

Why

u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
The human body also shares some of the same elements as a doorknob dude.
-2
u/Ok_Plant9930 1d ago
Not 97% dude lol
7
u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
What’s your source that a star and the human body have 97% of the same atomic structure?
4
u/danknugless 1d ago
Dude wants to identify as 97% star. That's it. There are no sources.

I think op is a little goofy for thinking this way, but the science is pretty clear that all matter in the observable universe comes from exploding stars. We are matter in the universe, therefore we are 100% made of material that originated in stars.
Edit: I guess we still don't fully understand dark matter, so we don't really know. But with regards to the non dark matter parts of our body, 100% stardust
1
u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
Yes we are made of some material but we are not majority the same. Like I said, you and a door also share some common atoms.
1
u/corneliusvanhouten 1d ago
Where does the part of us that doesn't come from stars come from?
3
u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
Hydrogen is most likely from big bang. I would say that while yes OP is correct on the science his conclusion astrology is a wild jump that has little correlation.

Who said “majority the same”.
No one is saying we are stars. The majority of the elements that we are made of weren’t formed during the Big Bang, they were produced by nova and supernova. Hence; we are made of stars.

It was revealed to him in a dream and confirms his biased magical thinking, so it must be true. Bro, you just gotta believe me bro.

One reason would be that the stars that we see as a constellation are in reality spread apart over whole galaxy. Our concept of them is 2D drawing but in reality they are ransom spots.

u/Ok_Plant9930 1d ago
But a constellation by definition is a group of stars in a pattern how could they be random and form a pattern?
5
u/Deborah_Pokesalot 1d ago
They didn't form a pattern. People made an association between how the brightest stars we observe are similar to things or creatures if you play 'connect the dots' game.
By the way, different cultures have different constellations. Our Orion is not the same constellation in Japanese or Native American cultures.

It looks like you shared an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web. Fully cached AMP pages (like the one you shared), are especially problematic.

Humans determined the pattern bro. We connected the dots. You could go outside tonight and connect some more if you felt so inclined.
And the comment you replied to was more saying that they look close to us here on earth, but all of those stars in a constellation are incredibly incredibly far apart. Like on the magnitude of 5 - potentially hundreds or thousands of light years apart. By default, each star in a constellation is going to have its own unique elemental makeup. They share nothing in common except for being in the same relative neighborhood

Yes you are right, but people are not ready for that conversation... I am sure that we are galactic travelers... living this fleeting experience on Earth

u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
Are people ready for the conversation that… you’re not a star!

u/Ok_Plant9930 1d ago
Science disagrees
1
u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
Again bro you have to prove your claim. If people went around making claims and expecting everyone to believe them without evidence we wouldn’t get anything done. Science also says that every single object in the universe shares a decent amount of atoms. That includes us, stars, and freakin doorknobs.

u/Ok_Plant9930 1d ago
97% ? Lol
3
u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
At a very basic level probably. The doorknob is made of wood. Trees came from the earth. All of it is connected.
-1
u/Ok_Plant9930 1d ago
Makeups are significantly different between a human and tree
3
u/Whack_and_sack 1d ago
No they aren’t at a basic level lmfao. It’s carbon hydrogen and oxygen dude, just like us.

Unfortunately even what we discover which may or may not be true; theories and certainties being a psychonaut is only enough proof for yourself and some others who may of experienced the same things. I believe you have created a theory and aren’t certain of it. You will get answers you need the further into the rabbit hole you go but it comes with the costs of hppd, dissociation, being more isolated than you used to be (although you can still communicate and function just fine) and possibly psychosis. Go even further beyond that without much time climbing back up you can potentially become on from an external person as a crazy conspiracist and even if whatever you say and experienced is true, no one will believe you.
Some of us psychonauts who have had spiritual awakenings from altering our consciousness and use substances to help us learn have to get into some scientific field such as quantum physics to even have a chance at proving our ideas/info we learned and theories we have created
