I do love my orchid. But sometimes, late at night, I fear it does not love me. Such is the plight of the Irishman.

Once again, you're wrong. Nothing in this world is eternal (without the possible exception of the ignorance of some redditors). Also, your words reminded me of the time I visited Portugal. My ex-husband planned a trip to there because he heard the food was good. I personally found their gravy game lacking but then again I have high expectations when it comes to sauces. On the other hand the language itself (Portuguese) has to be the foulest sounds ever uttered by a human mouth. Speaking it must feel like having a mixture of cheese and cum in your mouth that you're trying to get out but you can't

Iceland any translation:

I think Scottish Gaelic has the only interesting name for Iceland. Innis Tile or “Island of Thule,” and Thule is the northernmost place on maps for the ancient Greeks (and Romans I believe). It could have been Iceland, but no one really knows. Anyway, the shittiest beer in Iceland is called Thule, which is a shame.

Slavs are by far the oldest cultural and ethnic group in all the world. Slavs did not originate from the heart of Eastern Europe, but from the Balkans. To suggest otherwise is to believe a Russian conspiracy. Indeed, South Slavs were great warriors while their Northern counterparts were stupid peasants who certainly never ran an empire. Serbia was the center of all ancient technological innovations, including inventing the first alphabet.

I mean some of them are obviously same as they were, like Belarus or Iceland
Or Kosovo
Others are AMAZING
I absolutely love the trifecta of Brave land, Law land and Moral land.
Italy being the Big Profit is great
"Very Lucky Soldiers" "Orchid Fragrance" and "Dark Gram (?) Orchid" are beautiful and obviously some sort of poetic that is hard to translate
But wtf are Grapetooth and West Classtooth?!

Its just phonetic :
grapetooth = putaoya West classtooth = sibanya
It's pretty weird how places like kosovo and russia are not translated the same like portugal and spain.
Most of these are phonetic, even these:
braveland = ying guo (guo means kingdom, so the "eng kingdom" as in england) Law land = fa guo Moral land (de guo, as in "de kingdom" comes from deutschland)
In general whem picking phonetic names for foreign countries chinese have tried to choose something that has to do with the country, like grapes in portugal and west in spain, and orchid (refering to tulips) in netherlands. If they don't have anything with the right sound that has to do with the land, they'll look for flattering words with the right sound (for international relations purposes), this last one is what happened with england, france and germany..

I went to Italy and their plugs were unusable? Why don't they have the superior American plugs. And also they have no air conditioning (it was winter) and I had to pay for my water??? Plus i went to the Uffizi and there were a bunch of naked statues which was gross.
