Free 18hr course legit or scam? Question

Anyone ever heard of Armsta Training division? They are offering a free 18 hr course at the Phoenicia Fish and Game Association. Never heard of them or the training group. I checked out the website on secured machine so ensure no viruses or anything and it seems legit. The registration was through Eventbrite, so I don't believe its a scam.

I can't seem to really find any info, but they seem to be offering free classes. Anyone here familiar with them?

Edit: for those asking here's the link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/18-hour-new-york-state-handgun-safetypermit-course-100-free-tickets-1116130188439?aff=ebdsoporgprofile

Covered counties Our Course is approved by Ulster, Greene, Dutchess, Delaware, Otsego, Westchester, and Rockland County. Monroe, Orange and Putnam County will also accept our course.

Thanks for confirming! I was really skeptical since everyone is charging $300+ for the class but this is great! I have the application ready to go just need this then I'm going to send in my application

No problem they’ve been free for as long as know they were actually recommended to me when I applied and that was 6 years ago. I’d give them my business any day

Recommended 6 years ago for a course that’s only been a thing for 2 years?

NY has always required a course in some capacity.

That's not true Statewide, except maybe in the county you live in. New York State law did not require a training class until this universal class requirement.
