We should think more long term - chlamydia can be treated pretty easily.

Well, the Plague refers to Yersinia pestis, which comes in three varieties: bubonic, pneumonic, and septicaemic. Same bacteria, different routes of infection. All of them respond to tetracycline, but the septicemic version can kill in hours.

Whenever I see a new doctor they always get a funny expression on their faces when they read my file. I've had both bubonic plague and leprosy.

Nah, my dentist, who happens to be my step dad, would be upset.

So you've been hugging both the marmots *and* the armadillos? Wild life, man. (Also, I'm very glad you're still here in one piece.)

u/Wintercat76 9h ago

Neither. Lived in India in the early 90's.

You’re either a walking virus magnet or about to be a superhero. Bitten by a spider recently?

Just bad luck, job related, or?

1

u/Wintercat76 9h ago

Bad luck in my teens. Also got malaria, but it fortunately only lays me low about once a decade or so.

That's amazing. You're one tough cookie!

I suggest cholera. Highly unpleasant and can also kill in hours.

u/Starkoman 18h ago

Too fast, then.
