Holy shit. As an Indian-American, I can’t fucking stand my people. I am so tired of arguing with other Indians about how little white racists think of them. Most Indians that were able to immigrate to the US come from the upper echelons of India, and they come here with all of their built-in racist, classist, casteist elitism and somehow think they’re part of the upper caste/class in the US. Most upper class Indians are also colonial apologists who think colonialism built up India. Bootlickers will always be bootlickers!
Classism, casteism, colonialism, and anti-Blackness are all real problems. But your people aren't a monolith and aren't inherently more regressive and backward than everyone else either. Many communities had members who moved to Trump, not just Indians.
