I was wondering about that. Is there like a normal Casey's pizza place somewhere, or is this really just gas station pizza? The only Casey's around me that I know of is a gas station, but they do have pizza.
I only stopped at one Sheetz in my travels there and it was filthy, and the aisles felt like crowded firehazards. Possibly a mismanaged outlier but definitely made me go, Oh so this is their Super America out here. (Super America was the midwest filthy gas station).
It's basically an Iowa-based chain and I can tell you that a lot of Iowans gladly buy their pizza because it can be quite good when it's on point. People can make fun of it all they want but a lot of us in Iowa like Casey's Pizza and their breakfast pizza is the bomb!
I have traveled extensively throughout Iowa, including a lot of backwaters.....I always loved stopping into Casey's to grab a slice whenever I saw one. I thought it was good.
Used to work the holiday season at the company warehouse in northern Illinois and on those late nights when I coulda used something hot that I didn't have to microwave and wasn't digestively questionable like Denny's, Casey's was a sight for sore taste buds. Beautiful thing!
I'm not going to lie, it's one of my favorite pizzas if you order a fresh one. They are basically pizza places and gas stations combined. Good dough, but really what they do well is the cheese. I'm not even that big of a pizza person, but damn that thick cheese on a Casey's pizza gets me.
A gas station is the only context for Casey's pizza afaik. And it's about as good as that sounds.
I can only imagine Casey's like McD's were generous campaign donors, otherwise they would be utterly ghosted, though gas station pizza is definitely in the Trump trailer park trash demo pantheon.
The sudden realization that you're a lowly unpaid pizza wrangler for a guy that could pull down a million bucks off his followers by the end of a rally by saying "Democrats are persecuting me, your god-king, to get to you!" without a hint of evidence or even context. Hope his helmet's close by...don't think that beanie he's got on is leopard resistant.
Casey’s does make okay pizza. Buuut of all pizza places for a photo op with the president? A bit strange but I guess that’s on the nose for this administration
