According to the article, this can target as many as 1.1 million people and while Miami-Dade has a 70% Hispanic population, it overwhelmingly voted for Trump and then drew the attention of Thom Homan who plans to make it "ground zero" for deportations.

The deportations can potentially include people who receive state protection, such as Cubans, Venezuelans, and numerous other groups, but can also include DACA recipients (dreamers), as well as vulnerable people who are legally in the US, but lack documentation.

The issue is that many people who are in the country "legally" from the Hispanic community will have people in their families and communities that are undocumented and irregularly in the US, but for some reason they think it's everyone else that was meant to be deported.

Just wondered, how are they going to do this in reality. Are they going to dump all those people at their original country? Are they going to cordinate with the countries they are going to deport to? What if the government refused?

Everything feels so surreal if they are going to do it in such a scale.

Experts believe that they can't and won't or the actual goal is to somehow "concentrate" people in large "camps". The other word circulating around is that some companies are already in talks with the Trump administration to put the people to work while in these camps to make "work camps" out of them.

The term "Arbeit macht frei" comes to mind. It translates to "Work makes one free".

That term seems familiar.
