My new Leatherman came looking used

Just bought my first leatherman a wave + 2h and i think it looks used. Is that normal should i send it back?

Why is there a hole in the blade never seen that before?

I belive its for holding it in place or some because it doesnt have the hole like normal one does.

Oh ok maybe it’s the detent. I just never seen that before I guess.
