as a former staffer, good riddance to the Party. It’s been a complete disaster since 2021 and now the PMO is finally getting the flack that it deserves

Like him or loath him, Trudeau is a survivor. I see no reason why he should give in and call an early election.

“Survivor”? It’s his own fucking fault and totally self-inflicted.

One reason to call an election is that Canadians want one. Not something Trudeau is likely to care about but it's true.

Took herself out of the game. Her loss. Bring on Carney.

The best thing that can happen now is that an election is called immediately. Carney ought to stay out of the fray for four years. The party needs him to come in unblemished.

Her loss?
The LPC ship is built of heavily corroded steel (no internal challenge function, listens only to wise Father Trudeau who knows all and shall be worshipped, and thinks everything is a communication issue), listing heavily (deeply unpopular with Canadians as every poll over the past year and a half has shown), sailing into a minefield (October 2025 if not sooner?), and being strafed (attacked in the media, can’t do anything that resonates with Canadians, nobody is taking any promises it makes seriously given sagging polling which shows it’s going to be drop-kicked and shattered in the the next election)
Trudeau should grow a pair and either quit or just call an election and get the inevitable over with and focus on rebuilding.

Wasn't she getting demoted anyway? In any event, a way bigger loss for Trudeau than for her.

I didn't see that coming
