Frugal Engagement Rings 🏆 Buy It For Life
I'm going to propose to my girlfriend. I'm thinking about something in the $1000-$1500 range.
How can I find an engagement ring at a good price and not get ripped off?
EDIT: I'm just going through all the responses now, and just wanted to say thank you so much for all the input I really appreciate it!!

I recommend going to a local craftman- you are likely to get a better quality and more personal ring for less this way. My husband did and got a custom made ring for me, diamond and sapphire on it, in that price range. plus, we were able to go back for our wedding bands and get something that interlocks with my engagement ring! I highly recommend supporting a local artist!
also, the ring is super well made. were it all the time and no issues. had a friend whose ring broke within a year (stone fell out) due to poor design- it had a higher profile and wasn't set too well. making sure it's designed for wear is important. you wont make money back on a ring- but they hold a lot of sentimental value and can be something your family cherishes one day so make sure you are getting something that is designed well.
