FF VII / Remake Was Dirge of Cerberus ever a bad game?
Recently people have been switching up their thoughts on the game and now they’re starting to say it was never a bad game.
For those that ever played it. Was it actually good? Why did people said it was a bad game in the first place?
Also where can I play dirge of cerberus

FF III Which of the Pixel Remasters has the most justified existence
FF III, no doubt about it. The best to experience the original vision of FF3 (Prior to it only a 3D version was available) with a bit of a more modern bent with much welcome revalancing of the jobs that were previously just useless.
FF II also has the whole "Has the original's stat reduction" thing which might sound weird, but while I do prefer the GBA and PSP versions, for people who want a really true to text remake, that's the safest bet.

FF XIII Series My long journey continues, finally FF13 down
Well, it started like 4 years ago now, including some long breaks, but finally made it to the end of FF13. I started this one immediately after 12, almost 2 years ago now, made it to Chapter 4 and stopped until last month.
After getting started again I found it slow going. The game seemed very linear and I found some of the forced parties not very fun to play. But I persevered this time and made it to Chapter 11.
Once I got to Chapter 11 I found the game became much more fun. I settled on Lighting, Fang, Vanille as my go to party here and settled into the game. I also figured out the battle system and upgrading system much better at this point.
In the end, I found the game pretty fun from Chapter 11 onwards. I liked that most of the end game stuff was after the final boss too. In previous games I found the final boss trivial after the doing all the end game stuff. This way I found the end boss challenging and still enjoyed the stronger enemies later.
The lack of a proper superboss was a little disappointing. Long Gui was a bit of a challenge, but after farming turtles for awhile, you really get the process down. Long Gui was just making some adaptations here.
All in all, it was a solid entry. Onto the rest of the trilogy, maybe I'll pick up the pace here and get to 16 before the end of the decade.

FF II How is FF2 different to FF1?
Hi. Just finished FF1 and I'm hyping myself up to play the second game once I get paid.
Currently wondering about whether the storyline is better, or if the combat is more interesting than FF1. How is the map, is it more difficult, etc? These kinds of things essentially are what I'd like to know. So yeah. Just wondering how FF2 compares to FF1 without any plot spoilers.

FFVII Rebirth Does FFVII Rebirth get better?
It seems like the FFVII story is somewhat whiny and boring --- does the story or game get any better? Also are the mini games mandatory? Is the whole game just nonstop talking to random people

FF VII / Remake How essential is Crisis Core for the remakes?
PLEASE NO SPOILERS
Hi all. I’m brand new to Final Fantasy and just started FF7 original on pc (almost done with disc 1).
I planned to move on to remake and rebirth directly after, but someone recommended I play crisis core between og and remake.
I’ve seen the question asked before, but it was from people who never played the original FF7, or who played the original but were still waiting for the remake or rebirth to come out on pc.
Anyway, I’m eager to get to the new games. I really like the idea of the og being fresh in my mind when playing the remakes. A prequel side-tour of a seemingly lesser game seems to diminish that. Especially because I don't play too much, so it could take me a while to beat it. But if it truly enhances the remake, I’ll do it.
Overall, I’m trying to understand how much crisis core enhances the remakes. Does Crisis Core give important context to appreciate the remakes, or is it equally impactful to play say after rebirth?
For example, if I'm playing remake and something happens where I go "Oh, I know more about that from Crisis Core", I don't really need that. I can play crisis core later and appreciate it then. But if I play remake and there's important information I'm oblivious to, I do care about that.
Basically it boils down to a fork in the road:
- Experience the remakes with the og fresh in my memory OR
- Play crisis core for the additional backstory before the remakes
Thanks in advance. And remember, no spoilers (including how the remakes compare to the original game). Thanks!

I’ll probably jump back in myself and see if I can remember what I was doing, moving soon so thought I’d play some more afterwards like last time.
EDIT:look down below at CatiTonia’s comment for a great bullet point explanation of what this actually means.
ALSO this is only for level 70+ players really who haven’t played in 30 days and have no active subscription.

FF IV I have played through FFIV an too many times not to know this.
I have been playing and replaying through Final Fantasy IV since it was released on the Snes and it finally took the Pixel remaster for me to learn that the Mist Dragon damage is based on Rydia's health. I had to look it up to make it wasn't a new change to the game.
I also just found out you can use reflect to kill Bahamut and I am pretty sure I didn't forget this trick and I have killed him so many times.
Embarrassing, I have at least beat the Snes, Ps1, GBA and PSP versions of this game multiple times in some cases because of new platforms.

Final Fantasy General Square Enix announces Group Customer Harassment policy
Source: https://www.hd.square-enix.com/eng/company/customer_harassment_policy.html
Should Square Enix determine that an individual has engaged in an action against one of our employees or partners that exceeds socially acceptable behavior or is harmful, we reserve our right to cease providing support services or to refrain from providing our group's products and services.
Where such action is egregious or with malicious intent, Square Enix reserves its right to protect its employees and partners and to take legal action or criminal proceedings upon consulting the police and/or lawyers. Actions which Square Enix considers customer harassment or to exceed socially acceptable behavior or is harmful include, but are not limited to, the following examples:
More in the link. I am honestly not surprised that this happens. Last year Nojima-san got harassed: https://x.com/sgwr1/status/1755837266424217828
Tetsuya Nomura also gets a lot of harassment by fans but that should be known at this point.
Hajime Tabata (FFXV director, former Square Enix employee) got a lot of hate too.
The english voice actress of FFXIV's Wuk Lamat got harassed too:
https://www.thegamer.com/final-fantasy-14-wuk-lamat-voice-actor-abuse-death-threats-doxing-transphobia/
There's countless of other instances where I saw harassment on social media regarding Square Enix staff.
It doesn't even end with Square Enix staff. Community members and content creators got harassed too by people with multiple alt accounts. (People that have been following the fandom for the past 15-20 years probably know who I mean)
I don't know if this policy will actually help because a lot of harassment happens on platforms like Twitter but I hope the community takes this as an opportunity to talk about this topic and to promote a better and less toxic environment.
Edit: According to FFVII content creator Schrodingersbabyseal this is also due to an influx of japanese grifter accounts who slander the developers: https://x.com/Schrodingersba4/status/1877581671618507237

Final Fantasy General Does anybody else misses the ability to interact with NPC and chests while ridding the chocobo?
X was my first game, and I loved that you could talk to people and open chest while ridding the Chocobo, that was a huge miss in further series.
I can help the fact that I really miss to be able to do that. I hate to get off the Chocobo to do simple things as to open a chest, it makes it too tiresome.
Does anybody feel the same?
