Does FFVII Rebirth get better? FFVII Rebirth

It seems like the FFVII story is somewhat whiny and boring --- does the story or game get any better? Also are the mini games mandatory? Is the whole game just nonstop talking to random people

“Nonstop talking to random people”. Is this your first RPG?

Nah, I played the original Final Fantasy games, but those seemed to have higher quality strories, especially FFVI.

No it gets so much worse. The game removes the combat entirely and becomes a dating sim with non-stop mini games. I hate this woke shit.

/s if it isnt too obvious.

No, gonna be honest, if you're not into the world, the story, the characters, the mini-games (a large part of ff7) then its not going to really get better. It's a whole package and none of those things just disappear from the game and will be just as present in the 3rd party as well

in the end of the day, its an open world game basically, with side quests and mini games and everything. If you don't like that and don't dig the combat it won't get better. Alot of the side content is optional and only a few mini games are required, I can't remember the number, but its minimal. You do miss out on some summons and other things, but I don't find them required to finish the game, you will be under leveled I think.

Which part are you on?

Anyways:

-it is VERY dialogue and cutscene heavy, but theres also tons of quality gameplay (great dungeons, combat, some of the best and most difficult superbosses in gaming)

-the game opens up quite a bit, and becomes a Ubisoft / Ghost of Tsushima style open world. Many quests in this open world include legitimately tough combat challenges.

-Most minigames are in sidequests. While the main story has a few mandatory ones, they shouldnt be too obtrusive (except Costa Del Sol, that just foces 2-3 minigames, but theyre short.) 95% of minigames are in side content and cam be skipped. Basically, its gets a bit bad in the first third (Junon, Costa del Sol), then thats kind of it, besides maybe a turret section or two.

-Story and writing are dogshit tho

Here’s the better question, why are the mods on this sub so bad that inane, shitty posts like this are never taken down?

If this is true, I will keep playing. If not, I am going to hang it up and move on to a game with less shenanigans.

You can skip some mandatory minigames (like the card game tournament) or do the bare minimum in most of them (in Gold Saucer, Costal del Sol) if you don't care about the rewards.

Judging from a couple of your other posts I think videos of Minecraft parkour would be a better fit for you

dude you don't like talking in games then you just excluded ALOT of games out there, not even sure what the issue is since rebirth also has alot of action and much of the sidequests you can skip.
