And so, the journey begins… Final Fantasy General

Post image

I was never into RPGs but my brother convinced me to try FFX in high school and since then they’ve become my favorite genre to play. I’ve on played FFX & FFXV in the Final Fantasy series but all of that is about to change! I’m super excited to play through all of these/replay FFX.

Thanks to everybody for recommending FFIX. It’s on the list to get, for sure! I imagine I’ll get it prior to making it through the first 8 since I’ll be playing pretty slowly (father of 2, both less than 5 years old so free time is quite limited).

For the Pixel Remasters you can enable boosts for experience and money. There's no shame in using those of your goal is to experience and enjoy them with what limited time you have. Also FF1-3 (NES) are more dated conceptually when compared to 4-6 (SNES). As there are no story links between them, starting with 4 common. Go in whichever order you like.

My personal favorites are 6, 7, and 10. I really hope you enjoy your adventure, and I'm a bit jealous :)

I second the boosts, there's a lot of grinding in the old ones especially the first 5.

I applied boosts when replaying because I beat them all on the worst versions (except 3 because the DS port was pretty good)

FF5 doesn't have a lot of grinding, as the game revolves more on Job Customization than actual Lvl grinding.
