Contacting USPS
Does anyone have experience getting into contact with local USPS locations, specifically River Rd? I need to work with them to find a missing package but work hours make it hard to get there in person and I can never get through to the phone # posted online. Any one have any other recs or do I need to take time off work to get out there??
TIA!

If you mailed something internationally to Canada it’s prob sitting somewhere. I tried to mail a package couple days ago to Canada but was unable to due to the strike they had a couple weeks ago. They said mail is backed up and may take a couple weeks for it to clear up again.

Submit the form on their website. A USPS rep will be assigned to your case and they will actually follow-up and provide information. It usually takes 1-3 days. The front desk at local USPS will be staffed with varying people who may not always have the same access as the department dedicated to researching these issues.

Having a similar issue, package has been “awaiting delivery scan” for over a week and there’s not been any additional info. From talking to the post office, it sounds like they had it out for delivery then ran out of time, it went back to somewhere, they could not tell me which post office, and now it’s misplaced.

Call that number, follow some prompts and then they will get you in a queue for a human to call you back. Good luck!!

Not sure what your work schedule is, but River Road post office is open 9am-1pm on Saturdays.
Edited to add: But you’re better off listening to the other people here and filing a complaint online. USPS has personnel dedicated to tracking down missing mail. They contact the facilities where the last scans occurred and employees there can consult local scan history and dig through containers/work operations.

Make a vague complaint on the website and request a call to resolve the issue. They usually call within 24 hours. Had to do this with the Gateway one.
