Za Cart Pizza burglarized over the holidays. Support Jeff! Food

Za Cart Pizza was burglarized over the holidays.

Anyone who knows the owner Jeff knows how selfless and kind he is to his customers, spotting em free pizza if they're short and being a pillar of the 13th ave community in general.

Unfortunately, he was taken advantage of during a vulnerable time. True to his nature, he's not even pointing fingers or blaming anyone, but it has set him back financially.

If you need a pizza this week, go buy some Za Cart and leave a nice tip if you can! I'm just a customer trying to spread the word outside of Facebook.

37 W 13th Ave Eugene, OR 97401 (Right next to Fieldhouse, formally Big City)

541-514-3621 (Wait time for a whole pie is 20-45 min depending on how busy)

Hours vary but typically are:

Sun-Thurs 11am-11pm

Fri-Sat 11am-2am

The details dont matter and Jeff wont give you a sob story. If you like the pizza and know what kind of person he is, youd want to help him. I've known Jeff for years. He is truly having a hard time right now but is in high spirits! Even just buying a slice or showing support is enough. I'm not for the whole "thoughts and prayers" BS personally, but word of mouth does work. :)

Oh, I understand. I'm just trying to figure out what happened here. Us Eugenians live pretty boring lives. The details do matter. I certainly would never send thoughts and prayers to a food cart, I mean come on, but I might send $20 via Venmo after the owner presented a declination letter from an insurance company.

I doubt very much that Za's owner is at all interested in doing a bunch of extra work to satisfy you personally for a whopping $20.

$20 is nothing- that wasn't my point. First of all- this post was interesting, and people like an end to a story. That's all.

I don't think it's cool for people to solicit money on this sub.

Go and meet Jeff and then you can decide for yourself what kind of person he is.

Except that no one here was soliciting money. You're simply trying to be a skeptic. That's your business I guess. At least get your information straight though. No one was asking for donations to a go fund me or anything like that. The author is just informing us all that a community member might be struggling and encouraging us to show our support.

Jeff's business is being a good human being. He's spotted me some pie in the past and trusted me to come back and pay for it.

So this post is appreciated by the many people Jeff has helped out, as it allows us the opportunity to return the favor.

If it's not your thing, that's fine. Feel free to move along.

I suppose it's not healthy to always be so skeptical, but them's the breaks.

In general, though, submissions should have details and other clarifying information. This post provided no context. When it it comes to "boom" or "smell" posts, I think at a bare minimum that the OP should drive to the source and film. Why ask us? We need better material.

Anyway, I'm interested in the ZA Cart saga, I just think the details should be spelled out here.
