Any Detroit Lions fans? Meetup

I know there’s a lot of Michigan transplants in Oregon. Any Detroit Lions fans have a good place in town to watch games? We’ve been watching the chunks we can get on the RedZone, but it’s just not cutting it and next week is gonna be a big one.

I'm one, but I've yet to find a pride, so to speak. I haven't checked the bars in Springfield, but I also have heard nothing but good things about the Flying Squirrel. Game to meet there if no Lion's bar emerges?

I have been a Lions fan for 30 years, but I work on Sundays.

I am a lousy Michigander and never learned Eucher. My family is bringing out some windmill cookies for Thanksgiving and I dream of the day we have Short’s beer in Oregon

I’m a huge Lions fan that moved here 8 years ago. I don’t know of any Lions bars in the area, but I’d be up for changing that! FTP!

I did this exact post 9 months ago lol. The kind hop had a few lions fans when I went, but kind of low energy. I've left Eugene unfortunately otherwise I would totally meet up somewhere for games.

I just looked at your history! Where did you end up moving in Oregon?

We moved closer to Portland for school! Hope to be back in Eugene some day though!

I'm one, but don't go out to bars often. I'm a Pats fan #1 (25 years in Massachusetts will do that to a person) but my Grandpa and Dad are from Michigan, so I grew up rooting for Detroit sports too. I'm pretty stoked to see the Lions be contenders.

Michigander/Lion’s fan but we watch the games from home. Have you tried SideBar off Coburg Rd?

The Kind Hop is the unofficial Midwestern bar because so many of the regulars are from the Midwest. Nick will usually put the Lions on, but a lot of games start before he’s open. Most of the sports bars in town will have multiple TVs and will put on any game you want. We go to Shooters a lot because it’s close to our house. My husband (who rarely misses a game) has also gone to the Wetlands to watch games. There’s usually a few other Lions fans at any of those spots.

Next week’s game is against the Packers is there a decent Packers gathering at The Kind Hop? Not looking for any brawls (just kidding lol) I’m especially looking for somewhere I can bring my elementary age kid next week

Kind Hop is 21+ only. You might look at some of the other sports bars in the area to take a kiddo. A lot of them are really family-friendly and have good food (Chambers Street Grill comes to mind). You will run into Packers just about anywhere, but you won’t be the only Lions fan either! The packers fans I’ve met are less intense out here than they are back in the Midwest. We’re all just glad to find someone to talk about how hot the NFC North is right now!

Sams Place! They show the Packers games so you'll be able to catch that one!
