Give me the tea… Moving

Moving to Junction City (working in Eugene) from the Midwest in 2 weeks and am looking for intel from those who have also relocated from out of state (or locals if you’re not sick of invaders). I’ve been researching for months so I’m looking for the really obscure details that never occurred to you until you got there.

Do you like small town homophobic, racist towns? If so, you’ll love it.

Depending on where in the Midwest they're coming from that'll feel just like home. Source: moved from rural southern Illinois. Corn, country and bigotry.

Lol I’m from Iowa and I feel you. Oregon is like a different planet(in a good way, absolutely love it here!!!). Definitely has its problems and I wish it wasn’t so goddamn expensive to live here, but this place has become home and it sure as hell beats the Midwest lol.

Just a funny side note, if you’re from Iowa people here will think you meant to say Idaho lol.

Oregon friend trying to remember where I’m from: “Idaho, Iowa, Ohio…whatever”.
