What is it like living in Joseph?
I have been wanting to move out west and Joseph looks like an amazing small town isolated in the mountains from everything.
How is the life out there, are there fun things to do? I love hiking, boating, fishing and camping so the mountains will be amazing for me but my kids and wife might get bored!

Hi there!
I grew up roughly 3 hours west of Joseph in another Eastern Oregon town. I visited once about nine years ago with my family when I was 16. Despite that, I remember it pretty well.
I remember that the main street was very charming, and there were a lot of fun touristy shops and things like that. There is definitely a good variety of coffee shops and restaurants.
I could definitely see kids being happy there because it's such a beautiful place, and there would be a lot of space for them to play. But, I guess it depends on what the kids are like and what they like to do. What are they already used to? Do they like to go to forested areas with you?
I've only been there once, but it still stands out to me as one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
It's definitely isolated, though, as the other commenter said!
