Question
It’s a 5-60 pound bow as my first bow as a 12 year old is it a good choice

Dude, I could tell you a bit about those bows.. Good choice, maybe not as a starter but more because of the price..
That's kinda an "older model" now, but not by much.. Those Blackout bows are made here in the states at the Bear Archery factory..

What would you recommend as a starter bow

Check out the Bear Archery Legits.. Anything a few years older ought to be a little cheaper and you won't feel bad if you biff it up because it's a training bow.. If you prefer the string/cable configuration on the Blackout bows, look for something from Bear's Whitetail lineup.. Maybe the Whitetail Pro..

If you can pull it get the flag ship elite white labeled blackout bow (NV3) the lowest lb is 50lbs I’ll put that bow up against any flagship bow in performance and 2nd in class tuneability it’s $900 ($425 if you know someone) and it’s been a fucking dream I feel like a gah damn assassin when i shoot i know if my arrows not in the cross it’s my fault.
It’s an elite Omnia with a different riser so no SET tech but as a beginner who GAF when that matters I’ll be a few turkey white tail and elk deep.
Buy once cry once.

haha sweet dude, seems like a wicked deal for a decent bow for you - just make sure you get it set up at a shop properly (draw length, weight and peep height specifically) as well of course as getting some arrows cut to length.
