Repost since my dumbass didn't read rule 4. I've tried verifying the files like someone else suggested, but that didn't change anything. I have mods and a few assets installed. Do any of you IT geniuses know what I can do to fix this?

Game Feedback PC Game Pass Version

I've been playing the Game Pass Ultimate version since launch, hoping to decide if it was worth buying. Unfortunately, I've encountered nonstop issues that only worsened over time, rendering the game unplayable due to frequent crashes to the desktop since March.

Recently, I bit the bullet and bought the Steam version during a sale, and the difference is astounding. Firstly, it no longer crashes. Secondly, my PC doesn't sound like it's about to take off when I launch the game. Overall, the entire experience, especially graphically, is significantly better.

There is definitely a problem with the Game Pass version of the game. I don't know whether it is the Xbox App on PC itself running into issues with the Paradox one or what. If you're experiencing similar issues, I'd recommend giving the Steam version a try. You can always get a refund within 2 hours if it doesn't work out for you. See for yourself!

Sharing a City After a break from the game, I decided to start a new city and be a bit more creative. Here's my little 2,500 pop' village. It's going well so far. It occasionally struggles with the limited space, but I'm determined to get it working really well before building on the bigger landmass.

What are your favorite assets in the game? I haven't used assets much, so I'm looking for some inspiration.

Just a simple question. I know maps and creator packs work fine with GFN, but outside of this is there anything else people have found that also works? Custom assets etc?

Help & Support (Console) How do I build a good city?

I see everyone in the subreddit has amazing cities but I can’t seem to get my cities even close to those. I know I’m on the first one but still I can’t even get it to look semi-good, and I can barley build public transportation or roads. Can someone please give me some tips on how I can upgrade my cities?

Discussion CS1 is So Much Cozier Than CS2!

In many ways CS2 is much better than CS1 - The road tools are more elegant, the overall artstyle of the game looks more realistic. But after spending the last two months doing a CS2 build which I just finished, I popped back in to CS1 to continue a build there. And it really hits you just how different the vibe is.

I've always loved the feel of cities: The sense that they are these bustling, vibrant places filled with life and joy. And my love of city builders has inevitably been an extension of that admiration for cities themselves. CS2 cities have the potential to look more real, but CS1 cities feel more real.

The good performance and fast simulation speed helps a lot. It's nice feeling like fast speed actually goes fast. It's nice seeing people bustling around. In CS1 it just feels easier to role play yourself as someone immersed in your creation. CS2, despite its advantages, feels more tedius, and less like an adventure.

I'm sure I'll continue playing both games. But the more I play each of them - Right now I've got about 1,000 hours in CS1, and 1,000 hours in CS2 - the more I realize that they really don't replace each other. And yet, the fact that after more than a thousand hours in CS2, I still am putting hours into CS1 speaks for itself.

CS2 is a game that looks perfect on paper in so many ways - but in the end, CS1 wins because it has something CS2 still hasn't fully discovered yet: Authenticity.
