God damn, the mod community really makes cities skylines feel like it's a new game every year!

Yea that's why I'm personally not into the idea of a CS2 even if it would mean the limits possibly being raised. Maybe they'd have these mechanics all in but otherwise we'd be waiting a year or more to have these mods ported over if at all.

If it meant that my computer wouldn't fucking explode when I play it and it didn't take 15 minutes to load up my save I would be perfectly fine with CS2.

That being said, a 15 minute load time and a maxed-out CPU won't stop me from modding the hell out of this game and playing the crap out of it.

Yea even with my i7900 and 40 GB of RAM the games take forever (20ish minutes for 14000 assets) to load larger cities and it would be nice to have the game able to be able to fully take advantage of my CPU. But like you that doesn't stop me from always subbing to anything cool I see.

Jesus Christ, 40 GB and 14,000 assets? I'm rocking 3000 assets on 16 GB.

Steamwise I'm at 5545 so I imagine the rest is vanilla assets that the Loading Screen Mod shows.

Remember that many Steam workshop items actually include multiple individual assets. That's why you see a higher number on the loading screen.

Mismatched capacity sticks could get you to 40. 16 + 16 + 8, 32 + 8, hell maybe some weird MB with 10 4gb sticks, haha.

Yea its 16x16x4x4 mostly since DDR5 RAM at least when I last bought it was expensive as hell.

Why and how do you have 40 gigs of ram... Is it actually operating in dual channel and xmp?

Do you have the Loading Screen mod? It cut my load time in half.

Yes, I do. I fear how long it would take without the loading screen mod. Sends shivers down my spine.

Before I had loading screen I would start CS, then pull out my phone to play some Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead (think Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode but zombie survival). Usually I could get a good scavenging run in before CS actually came up.
