千と千尋の神隠し

Sento Tihirono Kamikakusi.

One of the most famous Japanese anime movies. This just reminds me of that one. But actually, I'm not really into that movie. 😊

It is 200% from that movie! I tried to recreate it as close to the anime as I could.

I'll admit it's been like a decade since I've seen the movie but the train scene is forever in my memory and incredibly cozy.

Not sure if it's cool to link it or not but it's easy to find if you look for 'spirited away train scene' or something similar.

I watched that movie on a small monitor device, so maybe it's not as shocking as you feel. But this scene is indeed impressive for me, too. I feel like the whole of my heart is opened up by something I can't describe.

Made me think of the train from spirited away

Yeah, that’s exactly what I thought this was. Perhaps it’s more common that we thought. I.e. probably in other movies.

I've googled it and it's the same movie. Redditors just seem to be weird and write the Japanese name instead of the English one.

I find it weird when people online are writing the Japanese name of movies or animes instead of the English one. I don't think other languages do this because it's expected to write in English on an English forum.

Well that person seems to be from China, so maybe they're more familiar with that name

Yes, I don't even know the English name of this movie.😊

Then what is the Chinese name of this movie? Because Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi is the Japanese name and pronunciation of the kanji and hiragana in the title. But Chinese only has Kanji, or actually Hanzi

In China, it's 千和千尋, literally Chian and Chianshiun. only half of the original name were reserved.

In Taiwan, it's 神隱少女, literally the girl who spirited away. Very similar to the Japanese original name.

Still a little weird to not write the English name. I don't think we see people writing Italian, French or German names of movies instead of the English one on an English forum because it makes it harder for other people to understand you.

It's not just this person, you see this many times when mentioning Animes. Not sure why this happens so often but it would help other people to understand you if you write the translated title instead of the Japanese one.

But perhaps I'm wrong and somehow the Japanese name is more recognizable for many Anime watchers? Not sure.

Well according to that person, they have never heard of the English name of it. It's name is very similar to the Japanese version in Chinese
